We had a lot of Dalene Matthee's books for our Afrikaans setwork - I loved them all, just can't remember whether I read them in Afrikaans or ended up cheating and reading the English version!

I don't recall why but the nuns at the convent drummed the beatles song Ellenore Rigby into our minds. Hate that song till to-day and i"m going back a trillion years now.   My children did Dalene Matthee as second language setwork.
