Well as from this afternoon, a lot of media types will be descending apon our little oasis, in preparation for the Ministry's tour of our Shipwreck....... I received a phonecall from a journalist who arrives on Sunday, that needed help with sending her photo's and articles out to her papers and when she asked for assistance from Namdeb's communication department, nobody could help..... once again it appears that DeBeers are going to shoot themselves in the foot again and squander a very very good publicity opportunity.....

Would not like to have a PR in my company that cannot handle and help in instances like this.  Maybe you should bring this under the attention of the new GM as well....

Wow.... I gotta say...whatta day.... the media is arriving.... just met a lady in the shop....Ammey.... from National Geographic...and just picked up a lady from the airport that works for the BBC Africa service and some german channel.... she is now in y Kitchen....and guess what? she interviewed Angelina Jolie....WOW ! when they were in Swakop..... Brad is a wimp!

I say goooooo for it!!!  A little publicity never hurt anyone.  From what I have gathered over the last ±year, Mike and his family are extremely hospitable and therefore can understand why they would have an international journalist in their kitchen *big smile*

Perhaps Oranjemundonline can find itself featured in their articles ?

@ Mike,
Hey do not be so unfair, Namdeb have very strict rules regarding their I.T.services. There are fire walls etc to protect their emails and internet. The last thing they need is a journalist trying to gain access to information that is not needed or allowing hackers into the system.

Don't think you thought of that aspect!

Give them a break some times. check with your Boet!!!!!!!
