Height of fashion Hon .. I used to wear the grandpa T shirts  with  striped vests over .. layered clothing .. and yes  the fashion has come back ...  and what about the canvas bell bottoms with  random  patches  and also  ' hippie " braiding  stitched on the hem ??

" Hippie braiding" .....remember we'd add a piece of floral fabric sort of tiangular to the side seam at the bottom of our jeans to make the "bell" bigger.  cat3  How cool we were.

Hello to Keith and Pam.

I came across this site by accident I recognised Jock Buchanan and family (boilershop forman) then scrolling down in forum
we noticed your name, you came to Oranjemund in late 1971.

We were about to leave, back to England, Margaret Chris (are youngest) and Pam and your little girl used to meet for coffee 'etc'
do you remember us, we lived in the end house on I think e42 avenue.

It looks like you stayed there awhile it was a great place, we are living in Australia queensland, had a look at some of the photo's
and we both recognised Pam, so hello to you all.

Hello to you all.

Yes we are that same couple, and we do have a Sean and Christopher (allthough he changed his name to Chris at school family joke) we have another son Michael he was born a few years after we went back to the UK.

Michael is 33, he is older than I was when we were in Oranjemund (time marches on) we arrived in OZ in 1979 and lived in Melbourne for seven years.

We ran a small company there (pipe welding and general boilermaking) my partner died suddenly (he was 49) so we decided to get out of the rate race there, sold up bought a caravan and 4wd and legged it around Australia.

We landed up here 20 years ago Hervey Bay you can google it on Google earth its a great place, walk to the beach 700 mts. with our dog Ben (maltese silky cross) Brisbane is 300klms to the south Chris and Michael live and work there.

Our oldest Sean works here for Queensland health in admin. although we have three sons none of them were interested in having family to date.

So we have no grandchildren so to speak, about a year and a half ago our niece immigrated here and lives in Coomra 60 klms south of Brisbane with three daughters and gave birth to a son Harry 11 month ago (she's pregnant again due October its a laugh) so we commute to the gold coast and to Brisbane a lot.

So life has its ups and down like all familys but we are very happy here (hope my spelling is not to bad, Mike the admin should put Spell Check in grab(1)) well we are off to the boat club for lunch with freinds, so will say bye for now, Margaret is hassling me to get ready.

Hope you keep in touch and how your life is going .....................all the best Frank and Margaret Brindley

Hello Pam and Keith.

We bother remember you well Margaret says G'day (first time I have used that phrase   image14) we have a 'granddog Goerdie' Michael our youngest.

Nothing from the other two Sean and Chris, Chris broke up with his long time partner, I think he wanted  kids, but that's the way it goes.

Margaret's, sisters daughter Nicola/Steven and three girls emigrated here 18 month ago she was pregnant and gave birth on 9:Feb:2008 to a boy Harry.

We are going down on Wednesday and staying with Chris in Brisbane (Nicola says we can stay with them down on the gold coast      faceinfood ) with four kids 'Yipee' so in a way we are surrogate grandparents the kids just call us aunt and uncle.

OK.....All the best keep intouch Frank And Margaret
