A source has just informed me that the DeBeers Flagship mine in South Africa, might be heading along a similar path that Namdeb is treading, in regard to cutting back on production. The mine is meant to be starting up tomorrow.... but I hear the HR Manager, The Mine Manager and Financial Manager are putting in early hours at the mine. It is also reported that a number of HR people are also at work before the time....

One can only wonder if there is something in the pipeline.......

Any of you up at Venetia have any confirmation, let us know....after all, we are all part of the big diamond family....

Heard it via the grape vine - De Beers Marine rigs are all in Saldana Bay - 5 I am told. Only 3 returning to Namibian waters with only Namibian crew.

arrive at the grave safely
in a well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways,
totally worn out, shouting
'..holy sh*t ..what a ride!
