I just came back from Strand.  Had a couple of Windhoek's with Hugo in the new pub.  He's busy preparing veggies for the potjies.  Very nice pub, spacious and ideal to watch sport, and full kitchen and ample seating space, even two big tables ideal for company/group get-togethers upstairs, also able to see the big screen from there.  Screens so positioned that you'll be able to see it from anywhere in the pub.  Also well air-conditioned if need be.  With the Super14 just around the corner, I'll probably be watching a few games there and catch up with some more Oranjemunders.  Pity I can't go tonight, there's going to be quite a big bunch of ex OMDers there, Hugo named quite a few.  I should've taken my camera to post some pictures.

Good luck Hugo, I'm sure it's going to be one of the best pubs around.
