Ok! Old Timers, lets add the names to the folk...... This is the town football team from 1972.....

Too true Diana, I remember it vividly (some of the old timers can sort of remember, Michael), half of the team had passed out by the time this pic was taken! But I'll give you guys a chance before answering. I can name 6 or 7, but the guy 2nd from the right in the front row has got me stumped!

Mike Voden (RIP)

Hi Ricky,

Sylvia & Gilbert Kermis visited us yesterday and I know Gilbert was involved for many years with the football club, so asked him if he knew any of the team members. He thinks he is right with five of the team but not sure of the others. It will be interesting if his names are the same as yours. Maybe I should send you a PM, just to confer......

Well I've got you Ricky. Isn't the guy next to you Robbie Shuster and Roy Fields front left. The guy on the far right....I know who he is but like hell can get his name.  I could cheat and get all the names from Stephen.

Not so fast Diana, you're correct with Robbie and "Uncle Roy", and the fellow on the far right is Derek Moore (husband of the "foxy" Molly), an Engineer I believe, who moved on to one of the mines in Botswana and eventually became the General Manager. But the guy 2nd from the right in the front row......I don't mind if you cheat....ask Stephen!!
Mike V - no problem, let's see what you've got... get hold of me at info@perfectpartners.org.za

Life's journey is not to
arrive at the grave safely
in a well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways,
totally worn out, shouting
'..holy sh*t ..what a ride!
