The Magnetic Rubbish Truck!

Well here is a memory....

Yesterday morning, the rubbish truck made it's usual stop at the back of Spar to pick up the rubbish, I was standing next to the yellow beast of a machine, when I notice an old speaker , magnetically stuck to the side of the truck.... just next to that, there were two lumps of magnets stuck onto the metal side of the truck,

A wry smile crossed my face, as the memories came flooding back..... which young lad, growing up on the dusty streets of Oranjemund, did'nt play with magnets from an old speaker..... which young lad, did'nt drag the magnet through the dirt in front of the house to see how much metal filings could be mined....

Just a small part of my memory that sticks like a magnet to a metal truck!

not just u lads Mike, us lassies did it too........i remember dragging it thru the sand and scraping off all the metal filings into a pile, doing it over and over again to see how big a pile i could make.  magic memories, thanx for jogging the old brain cells to bring that one back.
