Tuesday's Namibian front page Lid Lifted on Chinese-Nam Relations. Gist of the story is our wonderfull Government (all for me nothing for others) has given passports, residence status and work permits to 5000 yes five thousand chinese as the gov could not pay back a load, so chinese said take our people. Guess what? This is all on wikileaks. So it confirms why our corrupt governement gives 5000 chinese citizenship away yet here at our company, which gives millions to state coffers in royalties, taxes,dividends,health care etc etc etc we cannot get less than 20 work permits for SKILLED people. WHAT A CROCK OF SHIT THIS IS. TO OUR GOVERNMENT. This is the final straw. I will take up the offer from the SA gov, as I was 16 and older during independance and on my id card I have an SA id number, I can get perm residence in South Africa. So when I do this in the New year I will no longer have to pay for study visas for my kids, I can visit my folks and not be interrogated by customs/police/immigration officials who are so busy watching TV at the Oranjemund border post, they can barely look up and do their job. I went through the Vioolsdrift post a couple of weeks ago when the road was closed and what a pleasure. I won't be treated like a second class citizen any more in the land of the brave, or should I say land of the commrade. So our little family will join the rank and file of expats that give so much, ask for very little, certainly don't demand any thing, although if you read the sms page of the same paper you would think that expats are coining it. Namibian Government enjoy being the next country to rip off the people and enjoy pandering to a country that have no civil rights and most of all I hope your matangara tastes good in a sweet and sour sauce with rice. holes.
