I was up in Yzerfontein for New Year and bumped into Theo & Frikkie jnr at the local rec club. Theo was telling me his dad wasn't feeling well, went to the doctor, they found he was riddled with lung cancer (he was a non-smoker), they admitted him into hospital and that was that.  He said it was quick from the time he was diagnosed to the time he passed which Theo & family agreed was a blessing, no pro-longed suffering.

RIP Uncle Frikkie, remembered fondly.
