AfriForum tackle Julius Malema within weeks in court. AfriForum hate speech case about Malema's use of slogans like "Shoot the Farmer" is in the Equality in the South Gauteng High Court are heard. The trial date should be within days to be fixed.

What do AfriForum with court action achieve?

AfriForum ask the Equality for:

an order to issue Malema's utterances like "Shoot the farmer, they are rapists" and "The cowards are afraid. You must shoot the farmer. They prey and dogs "to hate speech;
A Interdict allow Malema prohibited inflammatory remarks to make animosity against any ethnic group, including Africans, to encourage and promote and a Costs Order to issue in terms of which Malema must guarantee the legal costs of this matter, and the two court cases that occurred in the run up to the referral of this matter to the Supreme Court. The legal costs amounted to thousands of rands.
What if Malema simply ignore the court?

Should the court in AfriForum's favor and Malema ignore the ruling, AfriForum will do the following:

If Malema keep the polarizing slogans using AfriForum will approach the court for Malema contempt of court to be found. Malema would persist, he may end up behind bars.
If Malema refuses to pay legal fees, AfriForum will start a process on its assets to seize and sell at cost recovery.
Thanks for your support it AfriForum allows Malema down to take!
