SENDELINGSDRIFT ROAD FLOOD REPAIRS

1.      Emergency repair work started on Thursday 24 February 2011.

2.      The road condition will be accessed on Sunday 27 February 2011, and if safe, the traffic can be accomodated as follows:

a.      Open for 4x4's and bakkies on Monday 28 Fedbruary 2011.  Expect a Stop and Go situation with delays of 30min – 1hr.  Road will be open between 12:00 and 13:00 from the Swartkop gate and between 13:00 and 14:00 from the Sendelingsdrif gate without a Stop and Go situation.

b.      Open for all light vehicles  on Tuesday 1 March 2011. Expect a Stop and Go situation with delays of 30min – 1hr.  Road will be open between 12:00 and 13:00 from the Swartkop gate and between 13:00 and 14:00 from the Sendelingsdrif gate without a Stop and Go situation.

c.      Open for all traffic including trucks and busses from Wednesday 2 March 2011. Expect a Stop and Go situation with delays of 30min – 1hr.  Road will be open between 12:00 and 13:00 from the Swartkop gate and between 13:00 and 14:00 from the Sendelingsdrif gate without a Stop and Go situation.

3.      The road condition will be assesed again on Wednesday 2 March 2011 to review the Stop and Go delays or opening and closing the road for specific times for the remaider of the repairs.
