Thoughts and prayers to our OPS principal, novice collector of metallic toy cars and prolific Rollmops consumer....

After all the stress and strain that OPS has been going through over the last 2 years, it came as no surprise that Dieter is in Cape Town, about to undergo a quadruple heart bypass....

Our thoughts and prayers , with good wishes to the Meyer family during this difficult period....

All the best with the operation, I'm sure Dieter will be hard to keep up with after the procedure, the response is usually that people have lots more energy afterwords, so be ready, OPS!!!.  Recover soon!

I believe that Dieter's condition has been downgraded to a triple bypass and he is recovering well after Monday's operation.......

I believe about two months recuperation leave is in order....

I had to request a letter from the present Principal, Mr Meyer, that I attended OPS Primary in the year 1970.  For what.....can u believe....one of the requests regarding my citizentship.  He very kindly and speedily replied, via phonecall from his secretary, that I can fetch my letter regarding attendance at the said school.  When I popped in he said....It would cost me R500.  Next time R1000.  I mean dollars.  Such a great sense of humour which calmed me down bout feeling like a refugee in my own country in my own town.
