Kidnapping in Kathu

Wow  -  there was just an incident here in Kathu where a young 'mentally hadicapped' girl of 17 and her new born baby of 4 weeks were kidnapped.  Were it not for caring neighbours who noticed that something was wrong when she was forced over a 4ft wall and propelled into a car along with her baby, things could have turned out very wrong for her.  Luckily the neighbours called the police and gave the details of the vehicle as well as a description of the kidnappers.

We got the news just now that they were stopped in Kuruman and the girl and her baby is safe - her parents will be fetching her and the baby straight away.

The kidnapper ~  the equally mentally hadicapped boyfriend's (he is the father of the baby) dad - who lives in a white squatter camp in Mpumalanga somewhere.  Suspision is that the vehicle is also a stolen one ....   this reeks of 'trading a baby for money'. 

Well, we are just glad they were stopped and hopefully that man will get what is coming his way ....  Alta, the grandma here from Kathu went ballistic with fear and then with rage .....  They'd better keep him away from her!!
