For decades now, the astronaut training programme includes many, many hours dressed in full spacesuit kit immersed in the biggest swimming pool in USA.

Buoyancy is the point as in the sensation of weightlessness. This is why these guys can hop about with effortless ease when they go for a loop on the moon or a spacewalk.
