It is with the utmost sense of grief that I learn of the passing, of ex Oranjemunder, Friend, Family, Brother Ken Dixon.....

As some of you might have known, Ken suffered a stroke last week and was flown to the Roman Catholic hospital in Windhoek....

Our thoughts and prayers are with Maggi, his wife and Jeremy, his son....

Ken was a magic guy that was always very animated, a very good organiser, player and the king of Boerie rolls back in his days in Oranjemund.... there are books of tales that we could say about Ken.... from his days as a youngster working the cruise ships to the stage at the little Theatre in Oranjemund....

Ken will be missed by a lot of people around the world......

Ken was always good for a laugh, always joking .... Here's a snap of Ken and "those" glasses at my 37th Birthday party , a good few years ago.....

The older we get the more goodbye's we have to say and they don't seem to get any easier.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Maggi and Jeremy. Ken was really one of a kind and my memories of him go way back.

Here is a photo of Ken and Maggi at our wedding - Ken was the Master of Ceremonies.

Agreed Michele ... did not know Ken , long after I left , but from what I gather he filled a fair space in your lives ... raise a glass to him in celebration of it ..
To see  sometimes  requires that you  first believe .

At least we know that there is one hell of a welcoming committee as he passes through to the next world, too many people to mention but I know Jock and Kevin were often on his mind as they came up in conversations with Ken time and time again.

cheers

Our thoughts are with Maggi and Jeremy

We where on our way back from visiting friends the North Bank road was closed due to heavy rain's ........... Ken and Maggi where only a call away they opened there house for us and gave us a warm bed for the night .......... Ken did say to me "Alfie if the rain doesn't clear by tomorrow I will take you home in my RAV and you can come back later to fetch your car" there are not many people in the world that would do that .......... Ken thank you for all those short chats we had when passing by they will be dearly missed

Maggi thank you for your hospitality
