The Diamond Festival 2012 is about to start.... National Newspaper takes up the event...

Recieved this from a long time resident of the town, for what it's worth, the town is not as spruced up as it should be for such an auspicious occasion ...........


"TRUST THE ORGANISERS HAVE HAD A WALK AROUND  THE RECREATION CLUB   TO SEE THE STATE  THE PLACE IS IN especially when you look through the iron gates  - ( looking in from opposite Nite call)   the  debris/ the rubbish/ palm trees not watered/ the court yard HAS NOT SEEN A   broom or a sweep up since OTMCO  vacated the premises  -  - perhaps they think International  tourists  dont   notice these things  !!    it is the first impression that counts
and the organisers better start looking at their venues     and sort  out and get the cleaning gangs in.
Point  2    East gates weeds  are now so long   - it has become  trees
Point  3     The weeds oppposite Woolworths  in front of Biltong  Bar   ( this is namdebs responsibility_  it  so Long   !!  )
                  those  garden beds  have not had a gardener in for  ????????   how many  months
Point   4     Bus stop wooden bench opposite Infotech   still   broken     after   how many  months
Point  5       branches   of trees  opposite public toilet  that has fallen down requires to be picked up
Point   6     the list   goes   on   and  on    and  on , but alas  !!!!   who  cares .
