I believe that the drunken art of street brawling has returned to Omund. On Saturday or Friday night, outside Furnmart (old Veggie Market) two men who had been visiting the 4 Bars area (just a most excellent of nicknames I heard for the middle of town, where one can find 5 bars within 100m of each other) , decided to have a go at each other. The one an older chap and a younger one, with the younger obviously knowing how to use a bottle ala' Glasgow style, proceeded to try and slash the the senior with a broken bottle.... an off duty security chap got involved to try and break up the disturbance and for his intervention got slashed down the arm. The senior guy suffered face damage and two landed up in hospital. I believe one of the fighters could not be treated in our once capable medical institution and had to moved to WHK.....

Sad part, was the fact that the business owners in the vicinity had to clean up blood and glass the following morning... remember the days when all involved would have been thrown outta our town....

Remember the days when a drunken brawl was just that....!
All things electrical contain smoke. Making it come out is easy; getting it back in? ... yeah right!!!
