Diana Rudd (Boehme)

WE used to alternate playing tok tokkie with stealing fruit. I remember Mr. van Rooyen at E4/11 had the best fruit trees. Bertie you should remember them.

Anyone remember during a school holiday some of the 'big boys' came home and were caught playing tok-tokkie (and worse, like breaking windows and property) and actually got sentenced to about 4 or 6 hales apiece, dished out by the SAPS in town?

A family member of mine worked in the hospital that same holiday and was there when they came in for treatment afterwards. Said whe blood was running from the hales...!

This must have been around '85

Don't remember that Johan but fo remember tok tokkie with Diana and a few others.  Also remember scouting out all the alleys in town to nick fruit off trees hanging over fences

The best garden to steal fruit from was the Whitely's in outer crescent. They were our neighbours and one section of their garden was used as an orchard all sorts plums, peaches, apricots. Besides our pondok was built right up against the orchards fence, just a simple up and over. Until we stole and ate unripe fruit one night bad repercussions next day.
