School Days at OPS

I can remember all my teachers - I wonder how long they were there after 1966:
Sub A - Miss Malherbe
Sub B - Mrs Castle (she used to bang you on your head with two fingers it you were not quite up to standard!)
Std 1 - Miss Pienaar
Std 2 - Miss Burgess
Std 3 - Mrs Coffin
Std 4 - Miss C Smit
Std 5 - Miss C Smit
Mr Venter was the Principal and Mr Dickenson the Deputy
Mr Steyn used to teach us joined up writing very precisely - light strokes up, dark strokes down

does anyone remember Mrs Place ??

I had a Mr Steyn in Standard 4 only to ask my boys when the were in Bishops whether the Mr. Steyn who teaches them has a tall sexy wife with blond hair..
NO dad shes an old lady and older than Mom - At Rugby I did meet the tall sexy Lady. older than Mom - Ina Steyn and we had a wonderful chat.

We kids remember them the way they were when we left!!

Here's a snap of Happy OPS kids sipping nice chemically adjusted Fluoride Beavallon Cow Milk at School..... Phew! What a sentence....

There's me in the front row drinking that delicious dental milk (isn't that how they called it?). Can recognize Vicky Linekar, Gillian Thurtell, Nicolas Turner and Scott Wallace. Other faces look familiar but can't remember the names.
