Anyone remember those huge, free functions at the Rec Club and the aunties & uncles who used to bring containers and bags and slip food into their bags??  Very funny!

We have a woman who attends my speaker programme at the business school (they are free) and she brings a basket and loads it up!  We leave her be because she's a real character!  Funny thing is that she's very wealthy!

Not quite the " tupperware brigade " that  I have seen at times ..  but  here  its a very accepted  cape spanish custom ..

Tuppeware parties .. the agents usually convince one to host the party  at ones home  invite lots of friends  ..  the  person hosting got a tpperware gift , the agent  lots of sales , and the guests carting home  more tupperware containers ...
The tupperware brigade is where people  shamelessly bring their containers to  a party to cart  some goodies home ..

...and then there was something called the twenty five club, or to that effect.....

one character who shall remain nameless got the nickname 'kreefkop' because he loaded up crayfish into plastic bags at one of these functions  to take home.

and the one who walked out with a whole suckling pig on a tray ...

Good idea, this.  No cooking and shopping, rather just collect....
Any body in my area planning a funeral, birthday party, doop, whatever, please let me know, I need to stock my fridge!
