Strange the mention of Vi  Hockney's voice .. even in  normal speech  it was  rich and unusal ...and at time  would hear  her humming  or singing away softly to herslef while busy ..  apt desciption of  her singing ..  my childhood memory  of her ,, and yes the  hot chocolate she would make from  cocao  powder ,, not the Nestle imitation  one  gets now ..
