We have network all over Southern Africa up to Kenya. Used to be UUNET.

Thanks for the link. I will do one for you too. Just need to think of a unique colour scheme for your linkbadge and what is will be called. I will try OM Online and Oranjemund as a single word. Trouble is - there is a famous blogger with Om as his first name.

Let me see how it goes.

OK I have come up with a badge. Call it O'munders NA (NA is Namibia's global acronym). It is black and light brown for the Namib desert. If you want another colour let me know OR readers can suggest a two-colour scheme. Go check it out here: http://iscatterlings.com

And here is the address to my iScatterlings Forum: http://iscatterlings.com/iscatts-forum/

Hey Bianca

You have most definitely brought back MAJOR memories!

Horse Riding...  Stables... Dung...  Washing, brushing, grooming, plaiting, shows, dressage, jumping, naughty horses, broken arm...  Smoggey, Rhapsody, Blitz, Smokey...

You should add some pics!  I am sure you have some good ones too!  I must find mine, they have traveled with my parents (now retired in Port Alfred, Eastern Cape) and are among my old Brownie and Girl Guide uniforms and first ballet shoes!

What you up to?

I saw your post in the Afrikaaner bit!  How are you?

yes, remember those good ol days at the stables.  We used to live there every weekend, remember staying over at Oom Danies house & then Linda (can't remember her surname), we all used to sleep under the stars on his front garden.

You forgot Misty that broke my frigging arm  :-)  And Laska!  Oh remember Bambi!  I loved my childhood in O'mund - the stables were my life.

I have loads of pics but they are all in Cape Town with my folks.  Where are you?

Hi Robert
Remember me - your old classmate?  I did enjoy your write up of the primary school – I knew exactly where you were at each stage – our art teacher was Miss Hatting and married to become Miss Munro.
Having found the new site, I am going to dig out some goodies for Mike as we have plenty.  I had already scanned a school photo for another occasion which Mike has now posted under The People link.  Take a look.  It's Barnato House in 1964 (date is wrong because Susan was already boarding in 1965).  Can you spot us?  I'm sure, like me, you can name quite a few others as well.
My memories of OM are still so vivid – childhood was such fun and adventurous.  We even lived across the road from each other!
These forums are going to be fun and bring back lots of happy memories (of which I have bucketfuls)
Ann  ;D

Robert

Anne!! Blimey. How the hell are you?

So nice to know you are alive and well. I can't believe it. Are you still in OM? What is your email address?
Got to take a peek at the photo.

We must catch up. Are you in touch with any others? I tried Barbara.

Adeana lives not too far from me. She is going to be gobsmacked when I tell her.  :D

Robert

Anne,

I can't see the photeo! Am I blind?  ;D Don't answer that!

Robert

OK I found it. Was looking in the wrong 'People' section.

So where am I in the photo? Hell I can't remember what I looked like then! I can recall a good few people there. Are you extreme left?

Ann Gander (nee Greenway)

Robert
I'm the gorgeous one with the glasses second row down, second one in (glad to say I've changed a bit since then).
And you are 5th row down, 8th one in - to the right of the boy waving his hand.  I think we were asked NOT to smile in this photo.
The boy to the left of the handwaver is Charles Tarrant- remember him?  I'm putting a few more names on this photo for Mike and have asked Susan to have a look as well!  I'll send you my email address

Hi Bianca

I am back in Oranjemund!  I suppose being an "Oranjemunder" like everyone else on this site, we are family...  So, I can share my story, especially since it leads back to O'Mund!

I left here just after my brother died to Los Angeles, USA (1997)!  Stayed there for four years!  Moved back home (OMund), have had a beautiful daughter and am still here.  I am planning on leaving though, just have a few things up my sleeve first...

So, where are you in this vast world?
