Well, as far as I know, there are now 4 parties contesting the local elections, the big boys SWAPO, The Wanna be Big Boys RDP, UPM , The not too sure where we fit in people and the DTA, the don't know when to give up people....

All interested parties had until 11h30 this morning to register their intentions....

7 Seats available, and the horses are being readied......

For my part, I shall stand in the sidelines and wait for 5 years before putting an Oranjemund Residents Party out to run......

I see the DTA has already put their posters on a few poles around the town, promising things like cheap housing and cheap water and electricity..... this is gonna be amusing......

I believe a grand total of 2221 Oranjemunders have registered to vote.....

I see all the various parties are bringing in their advisors and big guns from Windhoek...

The sheep will all get told who to vote for, not understanding that this election is about Oranjemund, for Oranjemunders, by Oranjemunders...... not for Windhoek based groups.....
