I just had to share this very special moment with you all. Every year, the South African Business Council of Dubai organizes a special function to celebrate the SA Freedom Day. Obviously this is organized on a Friday in this country so it doesn't necessarily fall on the actual day. Anyway, 2 years ago, I met this South African guy, Leon, at the Freedom Day celebration and we have been together ever since. On Friday, we were at this year's Freedom Day celebration with our closest friends (who were there the day Leon and I met), when Leon dropped to his knees and proposed to me with a gorgeous ring. What an emotional moment for everyone. After the congratulations and while we were calling our respective families, Leon's best friend went on stage to ask if they could play Leon's favorite song. Little did we know that he also told the presenter our whole life story. Oh, and I must mention that the presenter for the day was none other than Whackhead Simpson. Before we knew it we were called up on stage with Whackhead telling everyone about us and then Leon down on his knees for a second time, but this time to propose in front of thousands of people, followed by the two of us dancing to 'Pampoen' in front of everyone. What an intimate moment ...! And I wouldn't change a thing

Thanks for all your kind wishes. Looks like the wedding could take place in October, so if anyone is planning a trip to Dubai round then, you'll be more than welcome to join us. The South African Business Council did offer to host our wedding at next year's SA Freedom Day celebration, but we can't wait that long.
