Yesterday the main bridge over the Vaal inbetween Kimberley and Barkley West was closed due to the river running over the bridge and reports that some of the bridge had washed away. My afrikaans translation could leave alot to be desired but looks like all that water is heading your way again. Keep filling those sand bags

The flood is definitely coming your way Mike. I think you guys will need to build a ark as it is pouring with rain here in Gauteng. I don't know how I am going to get over our low water bridge this afternoon, I will have to go the long way around to get home.  notfair

Can someone please post some more photo's of the river and the surroundings. The ex-Oranjemunders  wants to be included in the happenings. Feels like the old times when the river is in flood everyone went down to the river and mouth to take some photos.

Love to be there and experience it all over again.
