When was the first Sperrgebiet Golf Tournament played?

Just been having a wee word with Oranjemund stalwart, one Terry Holland.  He wanted to know if I perhaps knew the year in which the first Spergebiedt Golf Tournament was held?

He has a shrewd suspicion that it was sometime during the early 1970's . In fact he reckons that he played in it. He went one further and wanted to know if anyone out there could recall who the event sponsors were for that weekend...... So if any of you ex Golf club nutters out there can be of assistance, please feel free to comment......
