Well this father;'s day, I received the book "Springbok Kitchen" .... ex OPS pupil and Springbok world cup winner , Kobus Wiese is featured on page 103, stating, "I grew up in the Namibian town of Luderitz and later in Oranjemund"

.... only down side, is he goes on to state, that Oranjemund is in the Northern Cape

I'm not sure how old he was and whether he played rugby, but in them days the O'mund rugby players represented North West Cape (HQ - Upington), which is possibly what he was on about. We played cricket for WP Country Districs (via Namaqualand), and hockey for SWA. We got around!

Personally I think it was not him that stated the fact that OM is in the Northern Cape  -  I think it is the auditors of the book that 'filled' in some info all by themselves.  I think Kobus may have just said that he grew up in those towns and they did not have a clue where it is.

None the less - glad that he mentioned the fact that he grew up there and thereby acknowledges the fact that OM has delivered it's share of celebs throughout the years (and also stating that each and every OM soul is and dwells amongst great spirits!!)
Life becomes harder for us when we live for others, but it also becomes richer and happier. Friendship is a sheltering tree.

To be clever enough to get a great deal of money, one must be stupid enough to want it.

Those who bring sunshine to the lives of other cannot keep it from themselves.
