STREET MARKET DAY,


Oranjemund Proclamation is becoming imminent event of the town and we as the business community must take a proactive approach towards this process. Therefore, Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) is planning a Street Market Day, which will form part of the awareness campaign towards the proclamation process.

–       At this event, we will have the following esteemed speakers who will address the community: Hon. Regional Councillor, Cde Eliphas s Iita, will address the Oranjemund Community on the Street Market Day regarding Proclamation.

–       The Hon. Regional Commissioner of Police of the Karas Region will address the Oranjemund Community regarding Crime Prevention and other related matters.

–       The NCCI - Oranjemund Branch Chairperson, IUD Kalenga will address the business community regarding entrepreneurship at Oranjemund.

The Oranjemund Community is hereby invited to take note of this important day.


Please also note that the street between Nitecall and OTMCo Office Block, Woolworth and Cool Box, Oranjemund Spar and Black Diamond and the Post Office will be blocked for business stalls, from 10H00 to 16H00.

All the parking bays within that specific street/area will be taken over by business entrepreneurs at cost in order to display their products.

The contact numbers where to make booking of the stall would be made known to you in due course.


LAG JOU PAP TAAI KOENS - coming to town   

The community of Oranjemund is hereby cordially invited to come and literally laugh themselves ill.

A well-known troop of comedians better-known as "Lag Jou Pap Taai Koons" is coming to town with the aim

of putting a sense of humor back into our "Oranjemunder"culture and a fat smile on our faces for months to come.

The Phoenix Foundation is a local charity based organization formally known as the Oranjemund Rotary club.

All the proceeds from this event will go towards community sustainability projects.
