We are  strengthening our team  – right now we are seeking  Mining
Engineers to join our Technical Services team.
You will enjoy the benefits of working with a dynamic and experienced

We expect you will have:
• 2-5 years of open pit mining experience
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Engineering
(Mining, Geology, Metallurgical desirable)
• High level of computer literacy with working knowledge of mine planning
software (Vulcan, XPAC and 3D Dig experience advantageous)
• Demonstrated strong mine design and planning skills
• Outstanding client liaison skills
• An ability to innovate, solve problems and communicate their solution,
and implement new ideas
• Motivation and capability to look for new business opportunities.


Our client is located in the heart of Brisbane's CBD allowing easy access
to our clients.  We have Brisbane and NSW based roles available (with the
opportunity of site and international travel.

Whilst this role gives you autonomy you will be surrounded by the best in the business to give you the support when you need it.

You will be responsible for monitoring performance versus budget, business improvement, continuous improvement of the company's mine planning, technical services and support to operations, ore reserve estimates, feasibility studies, growth opportunities, technical reporting and developing the local workforce

As such to be considered for this position you will have a Bachelor of Engineering in mining, a proven background in the mining industry (minimum of 8 -15 years relevant experience). A solid understanding of 3D software. You must exhibit exemplary personal skills such as the ability to lead people, build teams, good communication skills and the capability to generate improvement ideas across the site.

Quite true Barbara but it's up the coast from Brisbane from Bunderberg to Rockhampton and inland from there, only trouble is accommodation and it's a five to six hour drive from Brisbane..........but the remuneration for them that get employment their is well worth it..............

These jobs are based in Brisbane as they are office based....They will fly to the mine periodically.....

Geologists also in short supply. I have been commuting Brisbane-central Queensland for 5+ years now as a geologist. Rosters vary from Monday-Friday to anything negotiated. The money is good, but it does take its toll on some families. Options are living up north if you can get a house from the large companies, eg. Anglo, BMA
