You're getting the hang of this.... those are great pics, and are the type that this site is all about....

Ja nee, I remember those gardens and trying to catch the gold fish.
The new library is now standing where the gardens used to be.

Carry on posting Diana.
Good memories and like Mike says this what the sight is all about.

Life's journey is not to
arrive at the grave safely
in a well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways,
totally worn out, shouting
'..holy sh*t ..what a ride!

No  Not  The Pole  dancer   ...I remember  I have some pics  of the  ponds  in  the school  grounds  .. will  ahve  to  dig  them  up ..  I  liked  the  pond  and mini  garden  by  the  library .. but  going  through  some  pics  Bev sent  me  ,  a  horrendous  story  came  back  to  me   I  suppose  I  should  share my   moments  as  a good laugh . ..  I  was  the  drunken  16  year old  appie   a  crowd  of  us  were  walking   to  the  single  quarters  late  at  night  and  we passed  the  pole   shown  in  the attached  picture ..  We  al  took   bets who  could  climb  the  pole ... despite  my  drunken  state  I was  the only  one who  made  it  to the  top    and tapped  the  top of the  light  fitting .. I  remember   whooping and  doing  a victory slide  down  again   ..  later stagger  home   fall  into  bed ...  wake  up  the next morning  feeling  pretty  rotten  ..  drag  myself  to  breakfast table  to  be  greeted  by   Mom  puting on  her  best grim  face  to  let me  know  she  did  not  approve  of  my  underage  drinking exploits   ...   first   i  got  a  "  what the @#$%!! "  and  then suddenly the  grim  face  breaks  into  a   grin ..   I  am told   "  go look  at yourself  in  the mirror  you  fool ! " shock  horror  upon seeing myself in the  mirror   !  the poles  were  painted with  aluminium  paint  which when  aged  became  a bit powdery  ...  this  had  rubbed  off  on  me   wherever  I  had  contact  with  the pole  ... My hands , my  arms , even  on  my  face  this  silvery  grey  very hard  to  wash  off  deposit    .. worse  still  a  nice  shirt  ruined  and  jeans  that  took forever  to  look reasonable  again ..    maybe thats why I'm now  even  scared  of  pole  dancing .. or  ask  Dianna  about the  video  clip  I  sent  her   ..
To see  sometimes  requires that you  first believe .
