I remember the History lessons during my schooldays. Nothing was ever mentioned about the attrocities committed by the Russians at the end of WW2. My mother was 6 years old at the time and the stories she told us would make the hair on the back of your neck rise.

Not just the Russians. All armies at war have always done more than just their "job". There's no difference which country. There's no sence in "crying over spillt milk" anymore. Negotiation is our only chance. I believe the EU is a good example for "peace-work". The first thing is forgiving. The second is, to know future is only possible if we work together in (or is it with) respect.

If we cross the border to France (i can only mention France, as France is the only country near enough to just pop in) it may happen, that some one looks down on you and tells you to go home.  But it's something you'll find everywhere including Germany. But the tendance is important. The attitude in general. That's working pretty well.

To Jnr statement, i never had that feeling in France, never ever and i was there 7 years after the war had ended.

The Allies dit not fight us cause of the Jews. They would not care less. They fought against Hitler system. If he had his way, i dont want to think of what would have happened.

You're right. Should get back to the topic. Before, just one more sentance. I just took the experiances I made in France as an egsample. They're just as nice as anybody else. I was only refering to the fact, you'll find people like those I met (and have heard of) everywhere in the world. But on an average, we're living peacefully in Europe more than ever. I hope this may start working in other places of the world.
