HAUNTINGS in and around town??

anyone had any experiences of hauntings in Omund?  I seem to recall our first house sending some chills up and down the spine.

ID DO IT WAS MYSELF, THE LATE GREG GERSTNER STEVEN LINEKER AND I THINK MATHEW DODDERS WE ALL SLEPT AT EACH-OTHERS HOUSE ONE NIGHT AND YOU KNOW THE USUAL WE ALL NEVER DID ,LOL. WE HIT THE TOWN AND WERE GOING THROUGH THE 10TH AVENUE ALLEY WE SAW A BLACK CAT ON THE FENCE JUST LAYING THERE,  WE WHERE GOING TO PUSH IT OF WITH A STICK (CRUEL BOYS) HAHA, BUT ALL OF A SUDDEN THIS GREY- WHITE HAND APPEARED FROM BEHIND THE CAT MOVING UPWARDS AND HOVERING ABOVE THE CAT......WE FROZE.......WE SAID.....ITS A HAND!!!! LOL....WE ALL RAN HOME TO OUR OWN HOUSES NEVER LOOKED BACK,  BUT NO SHIT THIS HAND WAS ABOUT 10 CENTIMETERS ABOVE THE CAT THE FINGERS WHERE MOVING SLOWLY, I TOTALLY SHAT MYSELF, NO ONE BELIEVED US BUT WE WHERE THERE AND WE ALL WINESSED THE SAME SITEING IT IS THE HONEST TO GOD TRUTH MAYBE ONE OF THE BOYS CAN VERIFY THIS DOES ANY ONE KNOW OF ANYBODY WHO LOST HIS HAND IN ORANJEMUND??? ALL JOKES ASIDE WHERE DID THIS HAND COME FROM?????

 Does anyone remember the myth about the sheperds neck ghost i think it was a woman,in a white dress lol. we used to go on those boy scout camps to Sheperds neck, the boy scout hike all the way there, and when we got there we would stay up majority of the night just to see the ghost, staring into darkness, im sure i saw her, or it was all the staring that i done ,it was halusination ,and we all thought it was a ghost HAHAHA

Spent many a night there, but never heard about ghosts.

Two noteworthy ones .. our  house in E 35 11th ave ... this grey shape appeared in my room the one  night ,, surprisingly I found myself very calm  and just told it  I was not scared  that if it was lost it should try moving on .. it did not and kept on appearing so I then told it it can do whatever it  wants but  that I would not  allow it  to disturb me ..  it stopped appearing  and there was a kind of  deal struck excepting that when some  people  walked into my room they found it  very cold and  their hackles would rise .. this staus quo remained  for  years until after my dad died and  I think it was Ian and Pauline  or Gus and Maureen moved  into the house  ,, this wraith started to terrorise the kids ( they do see more than adults )  fear feeds and  it got quite  hectic  eventually banging on the walls ... they  fled  the  house  and  did  not  stay  there  for  a  while .. Viv  and I  stayed  ther  for  a  night  or  two  to  prove  the  point  that  it  was  only  as  frighteneing  as  you  let  it  be ... walking  in  first  night  did  not  feel  good .. but  i  persisted  .. playing  my  favourite  music  and  declaring  the  house  my  space   walking  around  stamping  my  feet ,  symbolically putting  down  my  footsteps ..,, things  calmed  down  again  for  a while  but  the  kids were  still problematic with it ...   there was a bit of a wrangle about the house (grading and location )   and they had to  move out  , what happened  thereafter i dont  know .. In  the  interim prior to  my  mom  moving  out the  house Viv and I had moved into the Duplex that was  reserved  for  my  Mom and me ... great  party  place ...  a small  crowd of  us sitting in the lounge and I  forget but someone said they could hear  breathing , this  breathing  was  right behind me ,, I just  ignored it  as  i had   done  before with  the  wraith ..  this  breather  tried its luck with  me  quite  a  few times  and  git the  usual  response from  me , in  essence  stay out of  my  space .. when  my  mom  moved  in  first  night I  was  in  my  bed downstairs ( she  had not  been  told about  the  breather) , when it  tried  its  luck with  me  again ... once  again I  told  it  to  just  leave  me  alone .. next  moment  theres my  Mom  shrieking  upstairs .. there  somebody  breathing  in  her  ear .. I  told  her  to  just  do  the  same  and  not  be  scared .. this  situation  persisted with  Mom getting  the  breathing every  now and  again  and  her  telling it  sharply  to  just  bugger  off  , it  even  sighed   a  few  times when  told  so ... then  things got  a   bit more  persistent  and  it  was  definitely affecting  her  as  she  was complaining  of broken  sleep and  looking  very  drained .. I  was  by now  totally  left  alone by  the  breather  ,  some  action  had  to  be  taken . when  Mom  went  away on  her  next   business  trip I  went  into  her  room  sat  there  quietly  said  a  prayer  and  started  to  talk  gently to  the  breather  addressing  it and telling  it  that I could  understand  that  it  was  in  all likelyhood a  lost  soul  and possibly  feeling  trapped  but  that  its  place  was  not  here with  us   and  that  if  it  really  wanted  to  move  on it  could ,, it  felt  quite  strange doing  this  and  was  quite  scary.. me  saying  prayer  and  offering  it  strength  .. a  bit  of  a  tug  of  war  and  then  suddenly  peace  and  quiet ... Mom  came back  from  the trip  and never  again  complained  about it .. i  had  waited a  while to  see and  then asked the  question and  she  said  it had  never  bothered her   since  coming  back  after  her  business trip . i  told  her  what  I  had  done  , she  said  it  was  indeed a  courageous but dangerous  thing  to  have  done .. 
Gus  can  give   more  info  on  the  e 35 11th  house , somehow its a bit  sketchy  what  exactly  transpired ..

I now know why ive slept with the light on all my life...cause im scared of the dark......no wonder with all these ghosts in O/M....cant remember anything myself.....but im scared of my own shadow lol...... ..............
