@ Jnr .. what  so  scary  about that ?/ we  are  more  than  just plain flesh and  blood .. In  fact I take my Moms words  " be  more  afraid of what the  living  can do  to  you '  To me its just natural  and I have  had an inner  understanding of it  from a  small child ..  On  the  same  token  , if  you are  not emotionally and spiritualy / belief / belief in  yourself strong  then indeed the "unknown"  can indeed overwhelm you .. me  ? seen and  experienced enough .. and still  unafraid ..

It's the unexpeted that seems so scary. A beloved person you feel will pass away soon... You take a picture to remember the last moments of life and then the results...

They say a camera never lies. There are a few thousand well documented cases like this available for further info. Check on google. Beware of the hoaxes though.

A friend of mine showed me a series of photo's once of his wife's funeral. Everybody was gathered around the grave, the coffin had already been lowered. On a few of the pics a well defined ghostly hand can be seen comming out of the ground and reaching for the priest's leg. This apparition was only visible on the pics which featured the priest and on no others in the series. My friend said the remainder of the film was developed and all the photos came out normally. Cue twilight zone music....

Understood  Jnr  ..   but  that unexpected  was  possibly  the  best ...   instead of an image of  a person probably  in  pain   or not  entirely  with  us    we  get an  image   of somebody  surrounded  by light ...  It affirms  the  passage  and  process's  of  life   and  actually  allows  one  to  move  forward  with   all the  other images  of the  person  when  they  were in  better  health  and  physical frame ..   The  day  before  My Mom  passed  she appeared to  rally  and  instead of  looking  all shrunken   and  withered  by cancer  and  pain   she looked  like she  was  in  perfect  health   and  glowing ,   passed  on  the  very  next  day   after  this ..  I  was  allowed  to  say goodbye to  a  good  memory ..  nature  works  in inexplicable   but  yes  wonderful  ways  at  times ..

Jnr  -  I see it in a way that those were the last moments of her life on this plane as we know it.  Fact is, now I now  that she was entering the passage to continue to walk in light and love eternally in her life hereafter.   She did not struggle or fight  -  she wanted to go into the light fully.  Do you know how I know that?  On this earth and in her current body she could not walk anymore.  As from the Wednesday before her death, there were a few times when she said to me that she want to put on her shoes and walk.  I did not understand her urgency for that and I don't think she also consiously understood her own urgency to do so, for when I asked her where she wanted to walk to, she said she did'nt know.  The Saturday morning when she died, her last words again were that she want to put on her shoes and walk - that was straight after asking again who was at her bed's foot.  When we said, it's ok, we will put her shoes on her feet in a few moments so she can walk, she smiled, put her hands next to her body - and that was it.  Subconsiously she was asking us if it was ok for her to leave us behind, so she could move on.  So, I am not sad that I don't have normal pictures of her earth body in her last moments.  As you can see, it actually was not nice to see her body the last two weeks, so the Lord knew that He should not enable me to have lasting memories of a degrading body, but lasting memories of the protection and guidance she will be surrounded in after leaving behind her body.

Not always easy to explain one's own grasp of these things, but I think you get the thread of what I am trying to say.

I've experienced that as well, that was why I was still very sceptical when my father was moved from I.C.U (as he was looking so well) to a general ward.My husband and mother visited him that same night and he was so well and comfortable.Everybody doctores included,thought great Fred's going to make it.(Except I) He passed away quietly the next morning.Now I'm having a good old cry again.

back to "hauntings" - i wonder if the following has happened to any of you - i woke up one night with a feeling of being squashed into the bed - the whole body - could not even move a finger - and with it a feeling of a depressing darkness. the only parts that i could move were my eyes - could not even speak. This happened at boarding school (Wellington - new hostel).
on a lighter note of hauntings - a person asked his friend the "house sit" while he was away - on returning he found that his friend was not staying in the room that he was supposed to - on enquiring, the friend told him that the room was haunted - every now and then he would hear a sigh and this when no one in the house except him - on investigating this they found that the sigh came from a "Airoma" automatic air freshener on top of the wardrobe in the room. (the free standing type that works with batteries)

I just believe "haunting" has something to do with our imagenation. There's no such thing as ghosts.
It's like when you say somebody spirit lives on when he's dead. The person, his soul, what ever, is dead. The spirit that lives on, is what we have on our mind and in our hearts the way we knew somebody. This can be so strong, that it may feel as if the person is around.
I believe haunting works on a simular basis.
Just my opinion. Hope I didn't disturb the topic now...

 Nope .. No  disturbance .. thats the  way  you  have seen and  experienced things  in your life ,that is untill something happens to convince you otherwise , and we leave it at that .. its like lots of things have plausible  explanations and causes  and  then you have things with no  known cause or explanantion .. its all part of the mystery of life on this planet ..
