Hi Rhona, an open fire sounds good. Just poped downstairs to tidy up before bed, because I wont get a chance in the morning, and thought I would check my emails. finished tiding an hr ago!! Just love this site! So adictive and  makes me home sick. even though I have now been in Tassie for seventeen years!!!!!!!!!!!

What I really want is some biltong and beer.

Hiya Tamara - I'm living in Ireland since 1981 and I too miss a lot of the things about S.Africa..........I holidayed in Australia 4 years ago and spent a week in Tassie - what a beautifull place; I couldn't get over the scenery - absolutely stunning. Last year, I went back to S.Africa for a couple of weeks but didn't get the chance to visit O'mund, and I was like a child at Christmas reliving my memories and re-educating my taste buds to biltong; cream-soda, tomato flavour chips, tex bars ect ect...even brought home some biltong - yeah! I know-bold! bold! bold! when asked if I had any food stuff to declare - I looked up innocently and said 'chocolate'.........

Ok  ..  but good hot english mustard adds  zing .. just the smidgin .. whe remebers the old ' welsh rarebit ' or rabbit as it was called ..  good  hard cheddar  cheese  kind of  melted down with beer  a touch of mustard then put on toast and then put under the  grill  and  toasted  til   slightly browned ??  capers  yes love them  , I find they go better with smoked salmon .. ok  heres  my Millionaires  Pizza coming up ..   heated , thin base  on a heated platter  just licked with the margerita  topping .. then slathered with  mix of cream and  cream cheese ,, coated withh strips of  smoked salmon ,, sprinkled with  some finely chopped capers ( not too much ) put into the oven for  3 - 4 mins just to get it  slightly warm and then  some dollops of  caviar  corresponding to each slice ... Mmmmmm !!

I just want a quick moment of self gratification. today it has been a WHOLE WEEK scince I have last breastfed my baby boy! It has been stressful and I am glad it is done.
I need a few   and a few   and maybe a   hoolahoop1 and   .

Now I can concintrate on getting ready for our trip to Cape Town. I Can NOT wait.  :emot98:
