Hi guys, I just walked in now from my round trip!
Glad I could trace some of you.  To the rest, I wish I had Santa's sleigh, would've loved to pop in at Mike & Michele, Dalene, Bobby, all the Ruffs, Rhona, oh my, the list is endless.......

Unfortunately my trokkie could only manage the Cape Town area.  I managed to get some info on the regulars on the site through their e-mail addresses, posts, web addresses and the CT phone book.  Like I said, wish you were ALL in the CT directory!!!!!! 230 km trip, but worth it.  Would have liked to stay at all of you a little longer, but had to be back in Kuilsriver at 4pm (which I didn't make!)

Yup me was feeling rather harrassed at work .. lots on plate .. and here  i have a receptionist that I feel has not done screening as she should ahve .. ( get many cold calls from hopefullslooking for potential business )  anyhow as said i went down  and yes i was pleasantly surprised .. helped make my day , and the furhtermore was that i got resolution from the last insurance co presenting hurdles ..  thanks for the kind words given and offers to be terriers .. tea flask and ashtray sitters in ..  all coming together nicely now ...  party time 2morrow nite ..  hope system up to speed or else i end up doing a major Tom hurdle into cyberspace again ..

@ Rhona - Yes, the faces were quite something!!  Sandy looked like he had to sit down for a while, Debbie & Richard took a while to click that it was actually the same Bertie as on the site, and Diana immediately gave me a biiiig hug!  Lovely!

@ Sandy - I'm glad, looks like the insurance people are slowly starting to see the light.

@ Diana - The party's here!  Please make sure Debbie knows it is desert roses!  She thought it's something edible yesterday!!!!

I would have liked to be with all of you when you surprised the the folks down in the cape.

I dont know you personnaly, but we are friends by now and i think you will make an effort to see Dalene in the Kalahari.

If we had that forum more years back, i would have gone out of my way when going from Upington to the Gemsbokpark . Dont know where Dalene is really located, but she will tell

@ Georg snr - believe me, I already studied the map to check which route I would take to visit Dalene!  I'm very jealous of her - she stays where I would LOVE to be - the Kalahari (the Karoo will do too, and the desert even better!)

Georgswa, I am a mere 170km from Upington.  From where I am you can also travel via the back roads to the Gemsbokpark.  That way you go on the Sonstraal road (very very bad gravel, but so many beautiful things to see), then to Van Zyl'srus and from there to the Park.  Not that far out your way.....  remember for future purpose!
