Ohmigawd  yes she strutted in and just disapeared  but then Diana may be having    problems ..  I have found that if i turn off my trend antivirus while visiting Omund site it works faster  .. I think this antivirus program is a bit of a strict nanny at times ...  .. just amke sure its on when doing banking , any other sensitive tings  or when surfing .. never know whats  innocently  hidden ...

I leave my antivir on all times, you never know what can happen,

just 2 days ago, virus alarm held off by the programm, i killed the bugger. No idea where the attack came from.

But if it ever happens to be infected, microsoft has an online search and destroy programm for just about all types.
Had to use that about a year ago, worked fine.

Thats the way we feel here most of the year starting mid September till Mai, i hate those wather conditions.

Right now , we have summer, some few cooler days , but picking up again, then summer will be over already.

Its the time of festivities on villages and towns. Weekly a firework somewhere, open air concerts taking place in Stuttgart, want be going there, to many people, expect about 500.000 visitors those days.

I will rather go cycling tomorrow to my lake and watch the waterbirds, Geese, Heron, Kormorans and more.

Come over, i take you along.......

Also busy planning our holiday trip through France.

Checked in the net the places and hotels and read up the places of interest.....there is plenty to be seen, a phantastic travel country, just stay where ever you land at the end of the day and take it easy.

We make our own marinade for the sheep  -  no, it's not a geheim.  I will mail you the recipe.  Or should I post it here?

Marinade for spitbraai:

1/2 bot Belsamic vinegar
1/2 bot Olive oil
50ml Lemon juice
50ml Worcester sauce
450ml Thin fresh cream
150ml Brown sugar

(White or red wine is optional and can be added to own taste)

Mix all the ingredients.  Add salt and pepper (garlic salt is optional) and other herbs to own taste.   Shake well.   Use mix to inject into meat.  Smear onto meat with brush while braaiing.  Always be carefull with the herbs  -  they tend to block the injection needle.  I always sprinkle some braai salt onto the meat just before it is done  -  gives that little extra salty crisp to the meat on the outside.  I find if you add to much salt to the mix in the beginning, your meat tends to dry out.


I forgot to mention  -  have enough beer and other beverages handy while braai is going on!  He he

I would have left out the cream  and the worcester sauce  .. if its a lamb spitbraai .. me a bit of a purist ..  lamb goes witht the oliive oil , some  balsamic and of course the wine  yes  a bit of lemon  and some chopped garlic  or a garlic stock cube ..  I would steep rosemary  and sage  overnight in the oil wine balsamic lemon  mix and of course salt ..  even heat it through to draw the flavours ... I luuve my salt ..  call it a skinny marinade .. i prefer braai with mimimun  sticky marinade ..

Just a bit of news ...  i posted some time ago .. all the eateries in our area ...  I  mentioned the Outspan a newly opened ofshoot of the one in Kalk bay ..

Next  .. Outspan  .. the new  venue of the  really disapointing prawn experience . not going back there in a hurry .. as the owner got a bit defensive when I  relayed my  concerns to her ..

Well  they say the world is  round and one reaps what they sow .. I noticed on Sat night when i was on my way out .. that it was not open ?? On a saturday night ??  shit if i invested money i would be there making damm sure its going properly .. sad fact  is i can see her abandoning it... writing it off .. oh damm and i wanted another place i could walk down the road to .. and yes bury  my face in a nice platter of prawns ...
