Same here with the english ... afrikaans accent!  Every time i'm posting something I must think, translate, re-think ...cannot find the proper english words... post, edit.. it's hard work for me being afrikaans!!

I made many people laugh while down south.

I arrived in 67 not knowing a single word of english, i learned fast, but my way, never lost my accent,

but the last year, when alone in O-mund, i was dreaming in english.......few german contacts that time

Thats now almost 30 years gone, This forum is very good for me to keep in exercising

When i was young, my first language was french, almost all forgotten.

In 2 weeks time i will see when travelling France again.......thoose buggers seldom speak english

Sometimes they also laugh at me for wrong words, so what, i try.

Other languages in countries that i travelled, the first word i learn is thanks, not much, but well received
