Went out for a bit of  a chilli experience .. Korean restaurant in Obs ... had my favourite Tofu with chilli and basil ...   how we all ??

Tofu with chilli and basil - sounds really interesting! Despite the fact that I haven't eaten meat in (now I have to do sums at this time of night) 17 years I've never tried tofu! It's not something we get in O'mund!

I'll have a double of whatever's going please - oh and pass those complimentary peanuts please!

 @  Michele ...  Tofu deep fried ... you can make your own .. take soy beans  soak and grind up  then add lemon juice to make the curd .. check innternet for decent way of making ... although i am sure via spar you can  get some in at good pricing .. to deep fry one has to compress to  get out liquid ..  slice into cubes  or strips  .. then  hoosh into hot oil ...  the dish I had was Tofu with  green beans bamboo shoots and slivered carrrots .. with the chilli and basil ..  served with sticky rice  .. i eat it with chopsticks  in a bowl .. I had extra chilli and  douched in some soy sauce to just bind the flavours ...  Yummy ...

No-No, I REALLY went to bed.  Have so much to do this weekend that I will be dividing my days in 3 sessions each - will be doing chores at funny hours.  Just got in the rhythm yesterday evening.  Have done it before, I get more done like that.

MRS ALEXANDER, I had Tofu on the shelfs at Spar 18 months back, Blue Dragon stuff from Patleys, but nobody bought that stuff....... Everyone wanted to know what it was and if they could eat it with Mopani worms......
