No-one can ever forget the Black Stallion i remember going on out-rides on our horses to tease the black stallion but when we got close to him we would chicken out i do remember getting chase for a while by him, Brad Pelton,Delme Hawkins and i, the main instigators for these actions, when exactly did the Black Stallion die? he will always remain the legend of Oranjemund in my eyes

Hokkas, you been reading Walter Farleys Black Stallion books?

I do remember something about that horse - was one of the wild Namib horses that was caught near Aus, but broke loose once the got to OM?

The Young Black Stallion (the movie) was filmed partially on location here in SA, about 80 km from where I live and the rest was filmed near Swakopmund and Walvisbay.  Thee Cyclone - one of the top breeding stallions in the world, owned by Jack Maritz of the Sidi Stables - was used for the leading role.  What most people do not know  -  Cyclone is not a black horse  -  he is gray, but has the typical built etc. the producers were looking for to corrolate with the Cass Ole image  -  they died him black for his role in the film.  Stunning, stunning .......  how I would LOVE to own a foal sired by him  -  how I would LOVE to own him!  (Anyone know the correct lotto numbers?)

Life becomes harder for us when we live for others, but it also becomes richer and happier. Friendship is a sheltering tree.

To be clever enough to get a great deal of money, one must be stupid enough to want it.

Those who bring sunshine to the lives of other cannot keep it from themselves.

Jnr can travel through time - I've asked him to get the lotto numbers on his next trip; maybe we could share
