Hi Delia, Gary Gray gave me this pic, do you perhaps know the names of the people? I know Gary is sitting on the small diving board. I need the names for when I upload to the main site.

Sorry mike, some of the faces ring a bell, but no names come to mind.  The guy on the right could be one of the Vickers - Leslie I think? Not sure.

Good  Gracious  .. the  end  of std  5  thing  ..   dive  into  the swimming  pool  ..  one  ruined  uniform ..     my  watch  got  drowned  as  well  cos  I  forgot to take  it off  ... I  even  burned  all  my  books ..  we  were  then  kings   of  the  castle ..  six  weeks  holiday  and  then hell  would  descend  on  us .. off  to  boarding  school   ..  sent  away  to  purgatory ...  cos  we  were  then  the  newcomers  .. bottom  of  the  pile  .  will  say one  thing though .. boarding  school  was  good  for  us  in a  way  cos  we  had  to grow up damm  fast   to  survive ..  and  were not  under  the  watchful  eyes  of  our  parents.. hostel   fathers  and  mothers  could  not keep  tabs  on  us  all   so  we  could  get up to  lots  of  mischief ...

Sandy, talking about losing watches and stuff in the water, how many times you go down to the beach and bury your beers in the sand to keep them cool, and then lose them later, I also wonder how many watches and wallets were lost under the water at the Yacht club throughout the years, maybe it might be viable for the company to remine the pan...   ;)

Hi Delia, You may not remember me but I am surer your Mum will. Please give her my best wishes when next you see or speak to her.
Thank you:)

Delia

Hi Gabi, of course I remember you.  I mentioned to my mom over the weekend that I'd been chatting to Nicky and before I mentioned you, she asked about you.  She's happy to hear you guys are doing well.  Will tell her you send regards.

Howzit sister of the guetto.  Nicky the name rings a bell but I still can't picture you, or am I thinking of Hodgeson. Delia I can't believe Leigh has passed away, I was actually thinking of him this past weekend.
Does anybody know where Sean Morrow is, the last I heard he was somewhere in England.
Kevin Loubscher is working in Witbank, every December he pops in and pays me a visit.
This coming weekend (4th Aug 2007) David and Teressa (Carr) Arnott will be married for 25 years. They are having a bash in CT, I am sure there will be a few ex-Oranjemunders there.
Untill later, cheers.

Hey brother of the ghetto - wow, what an awesome surprise to have you on-line.  Man, i don't think you and i should go down memory lane on this site - could incriminate ourselves big time - ha, ha!!!  Often look thru my photo albums and remember the good times we had - eg. "KBA, KBA, this is KBA your local DJ" - remember that - come on, i wanna see whether you going senile or not - let me know where that's from!  :D

Will I ever forget that day at the pink pan, was it new years day after our champ. breakfast. I remember Barry Tilley, Dawn, Kim,  Lofty, Kenny Perkins, Tracey, Rob, youself and I beeing there. Phew who else?  It was a good day.

The day I'll never forget is your birthday party at Rob's house when I ended up in those reeds in front of the anglican church the following morning, phew, another good day.

Yup, it was after an all-nighter new years eve party which turned out into an all-of-next-day party too - still got the pics of that day - you with my rasta beanie & scarf on - mark swanepoel and lorna ahrens are also in the photos - i think people just pulled in as the day went on.  i think that was the day you tried to teach me to windsurf too!!

the reeds story - i remember you just couldn't make it home after the party - the road just seemed toooo long - the reeds obviously seemed a comfortable choice.  i remember you telling me about the weird looks you got from people arriving for church and here you come crawling out the reeds - i still laugh out load about that one.  i can just imagine the looks on their faces :D

were you there that night we had piggy back races down the main road in front of the shopping centre one sunday night coming home from sporties?  i know greg, julie, barry tilley and myself took part - julie was on greg's back, i was on barry's back - we were laughing so much we all ended up in the flower beds that ran down the middle of the road.

how about those long weekends we used to spend up the river in the richtersveld - you, me, lofty, kenny perkins, ivan, kim, niall, gary, alan taylor, liz - 5 days bathing in the river, eating off the fire, irish coffees nogal with real cream out in the bundus, we would just sleep where we fell around the fire under the stars.

remember our weekends at mcdougs with the divers  - gary cowen, mason, geoff lorentz - oh man, i miss those days.

I recognise one face, the second girl on the right is Sheila Fry my sister.  She was in std 5 in 1974 I think.
