I believe the daughter has some or other gynaecological problem according to the latest news. They were saying that she might have to undergo a hysterectomy. Tragic.

I read somewhere that in some Islamic countries in Africa, the perpetrator in such and similar crimes is handed over to the victim's family, and they decide his fate. Mostly it ends up in public castration.

The problem with most rapists is, that castration wouldn't realy change anything. Rape has something to do with having power over people. Obviously is rape a sexual power. Now if somebody is castrated, he may not be able to have sex anymore, but he's still liable to rape and have power over somebody.
That's the tragical truth out of studies in the past.
Again it's just a matter of revenge and not justice.
