The final photo is a view of Villefranche from Cap Ferrat. Evening promenades around the bay toward Ferrat are traditional and a nice way to end off a day. The Ronin scene was shot outside the Welcom Hotel which is the larger structure behind the large single masted blue yacht. At extrem left of the photo is the Citadel - a fort that protected the town and country from invading Moors etc.

You're so right Rob, that area of the Cote d'Azur is stunning. I have family from my mom's side that live in Beaulieu, so am lucky to be able to go there as often as I want. If you've done the walk around St Jean Cap Ferrat, you'll have seen the statue of the Madone and its liitle church. Absolutely gorgeous! You might also have bumped into nudists along the way! There're quite a few down there. Have you been to Eze? Again, a beautiful place. And then all the way to Monaco. That to brings back great memories as I dated one of the palace guards for quite some time. Just luv men in uniform!

Well,  if you're talking about the rules for petrol & diesel price increases, then I must admit I haven't got the faintest idea what article number under what law of what year printed in what gazette refers to the issue of uniforms. 

It this was posted in the wrong topic  -  referring to the rules for Swingers  -  THEN WAIT TILL WE GET TO THAT RULE  -  don't jump the gun!

Have you been to Eze? Again, a beautifull place.

The only part of Eze that is lovely is the ancient town perched on top of the mountain!

If you leave Eze to drive into Monte Carlo on the bas corniche in your petrol or diesel fuelled vehicle, you will go past Bono's house. We join the grand corniche at the top of the back wall of the Eze jardin (drive up the hillpast the perfumerie), each morning to drive to La Turbie to get fresh bread.

Just picture in your mind me in a wet, gray, sunless freezeingwinters dealing with morons on the motorways in their petrol or diesel guzzling cars and trucks acting like doosies and not giving way to quicker drivers like me. Then at the office I have to deal with the doos deluxes of this wet and rain-spoiled , nanny state of an island with the biggest doos for a Prime Minister!

And lastly - remember that I do miss sonskyn, chevrolet, braaivleis, and the stroppie chinas who get pissed on Klipdrift n coke before rugby or cricket matches at Newlands.

Finally, I miss my Ford diesel bakkie! Very much. We okes get so attached to our bakkies. We love the sound of the bakkie and the smell of diesel early in the mornings much in the same why or more passionately than we do crave our women................................!

One is getting a tad cheeky isn't one....!!!

I was going to. Beind in a Land Rover allowed me to do that BUT I wanted to video the event on my mobile.

So I elected to remain calm as one does , clearheaded as one should and not fall prey as one does to that demon daredevil inside and act like a bosbefok Namibian who has never seen it rain before. And boy did it chuck it down this day.

I had driven in the opposite direction only 45 minutes earlier, gone to Tesco and this is what occured while I was delayed at the blerry checkout.

You have untied my jealous buttons, Robert.  As for the d's  -  we have quite a few champions in our own government here in SA  -  I'd better not start a list with names!

Do you guys watch Planet Mechanics on Discovery channel.  Those two guys have just presented a program where they converted a petrol engine to a 'wood gas' engine.  Made notes and even took a pic or two of the contraption they built  -  using it in London for some or other "Green Plant a tree" project and the thing actually works!

Well I can't beat that illustration of how we are getting shafted.....! Yesterday the panic buying was full on. Diesel is at GBP1.31 a litre and the government still does nothing. The press (Daily Mail) headlined yesterdays news with something that is certain to calm down us motorists - Pumps Are Running Dry! So guess where a load of people will be today - at the nearest petrol station!

@Robert, that story really irked me, watched it on SKYNEWS...it's 1 in 10 pumps that do not have stock...only for four days..... actually 2 if you think about it.... the media sensationalised this story and caused panic buying..... Oh! A HOrse...My kingdom for a Horse......
