The bridge again, edited some and reduced size, i think i nice document.....

I suspect it was taken in the late 50's.... the old bridge is gone, well more than likely covered in mud and sediment..however just as  you approach the SOuth African side on the new Bridge, you can see a piece of it sticking outta the reeds...the old barge also used to be stuck in those reeds until about 7 years ago, when it was removed...

I think the new bridge was only built in the mid 60's. I remember using the old bridge when we went on leave, we arrived in 1960.

...and maybe thats why the old bridge broke, after diana rode after it.....
