Here we go, this is what it is all about people, here are some amazing historical photo's from the 60's and 70's submitted by Sylvia Brunner, I will post her comments :

"These are the last photo's I found. What I remember of Ronnie de lange; we lived in E6/11th ave. and Ronnie lived opposite of our house. He used to brew moonshiner and I was never allowed to taste the goodie. He and John liked to make music too. He played the guitar very well and John Delaney would play the bass .......haha......those were the days. It was great to come home from boardingschool and see all my friends again. Now I meet them on internet"

Great historic pictures, the ashtray on the counter next to the till brings back memories, not that I smoked, but I remember my mom and dad smoking everywhere
moviehouse library and shops........
now it's illegal to smoke in your own home, ah how times change

Yip so do I......tears going here! He must've been 15 - 16??
Andre, I & pals always banned from his pondok! Never knew about the moonshine!! (Huh, how happened that!!) But, heard my Gran made a mean "ginger beer" !! LOL!! And him trying to teach me to ride a bike....disaster!!! A girl thing!!
Ronnie was always a very special uncle to us, even to my own kids (great-uncle??)LOL!! The foremost that I will always remember about him,  is when he picked up his guitar and played Midnight Special by CCR & Road to Hell by Chris Rea.....magical stuff!!
Luv u Ron RIP xxx

Sylvia Brünner

Lynette, I think Ronnie de Lange was about 18 on that picture. I think he was an apprentice at that time. Sorry to hear that your uncle Ronnie is a lost diamond too.

Fantastic photographs Sylvia.

Thanks for getting the gray matter going again, I forgot how Ronnie looked, Diana always used to mention him and I remembered the name but not the face.

Keep on posting!

Life's journey is not to
arrive at the grave safely
in a well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways,
totally worn out, shouting
'..holy sh*t ..what a ride!

Lynette, I'd forgotten about the moonshine untill Sylvia mentioned it here.  202  How Yvonne and I irritated his soul, spying on them. We'd creep round the back between the fence and the pondok. I'm sure Sandy B "s eldest brother was one of those that visited and partook in the moonshine. Pauline Giles rings a bell as well.

Did Ronnie de Lange marry a woman called "Sophie" ?

The reason I ask is because my mom had a lady that use to work with her in the Cash Office called Sophie de Lange and was wondering if they were perhaps related?
Don't sweat the small shit!
