Here's a Snap From Gert Briers of the 1974 OPS Prefects...

If I had to guess, I would have said 1975, but It could have been 1974.  I recognize quite a few faces, one of them Corne Schreuder.

Now I see Corne. Next to her is Vanesa McBride.

Next to Vanessa is Timothy Mason and next to Doc Venter is Theo Weyers? It also looks like Colleen Grey first girl left, second row but I thought she had left Oranjemund by then. Vanessa was in my class and we were in Std 5 in 1975.

I recognise Theo now too, but I have Thimothy and Colleen in  adifferent rememberens. (English okay??)

Definitely '74.  I recognize a few faces - second last row, third from right: Karin Laubscher, Second row, third from left: Corne Schreuder, next to her (to the right) is Bernard Wiese.  And then of course, Dr. Venter - best principal ever!

Ok, I think Delia has come close. Only Lizette Stander is not on this pic. I think she was in st.5 in 1973.
Interesting to note that there are st.4 and st.5 prefects in this picture.

(c) This is a Afrikaans speaking girl. Later became a teacher at OPS and then married Frikkie Frylinck.

She was the Afrikaans teacher. I don't remember her having a son at school though. She would take you by the shoulder and dig her fingers into you until your knees bent and you fell to the ground to get away from her grip ...
