Hi Susan,  How r u?  Wow, I dont believe you remember that.  Shame Isak used to churn them out.  Cheese and bacon and cheese and tomato!  I was a spoilt brat!  Saw your photo of the netball team.  Remember the trip to "Springbok" to play netball against the boertjie school!  What was Sandy's surname?  Must let Mike have the names of the girls on photo.  Will try to remember. spoke to my brother in law, Richard Opperman and said that I want to come back to check out the town next year some time, really need to do this.  Dying to bring Rian (hubby) and kids to see too. how is your mom??

Hi my friend, long time........... Sandy's surname was van Zyl.  I've been meaning to give Mike the names but just haven't gotten around to it... Got a few more photo's for Mike, will mail them to him but will also post a few in a moment... You must rather come sometime this year as I'm leaving at the end of the year to Swakopmund (3 months to go).
Do you remember Mr Joseph (Std 4) english teacher.......

Hi Susan

not sure if I will make it there this year, but if you in Swakop will make a plan, Rian has cousin with house in Henties Bay. Definitely must make a trip to Namibia!  Its so nice to talk to you after all these years.  I see that you are working at the OPS library, I'm at the a high school library in Kimberley too. Of all places, can you imagine that? How is Vicki, I emailed her, tell her to get her butt into gear! waiting for a reply.  This site is really stunning.  Very nice to catch up.  just wish that all the members would start talking too. that will keep it going. where in Omund are you staying? Did you marry anybody in particular???  How many Omunders are there left in Omund that were at school with us??  Yes, do remember Mr Jackie Joseph, didnt he marry Dawn Johnson? why do you ask?

Yvette

Not that Jackie Joseph the other one, must post the staff photo so that you can see, he was just so different....
Been at the school library for the past 3 years and I really enjoy it.  Vicki is well and i will pass on the message.  I also wish that more Old Oranjemunders will join.  Linda Mostert (remember her) and i are also now in contact.  We are currently living in 4 - 5th Ave, the street with all the circles (???)  Also lived in Lüderitz for a few years.  I married a German guy (Raimund) and we have two daughters (Tamsyn - 18 and Kea - 10).
Old Omd still here - Andre and Liesl (Fourie) Bezuidenhout, Gunter Salchow, Lee Bronkhorst (Krynauw), must think so more...........

Susan, I was the last Biccard to leave, couldnt get me out, my folks left in 83 and I left in 84ish? GM then, couldnt get rid of me, kept sending me letters telling me to go. I kept getting my termination date extended by 6 months at a time!  I didnt want to leave!  no eligible marriage material left then! so ended up in CT.  Yes, do remember that Mr Joseph.  He had weird glasses and very large teeth!!!!  Very strange man, no dress sense either!!!!!  Didnt know that Liesl married Andre.  What happened to Cindy Munn and Marius?? Do you remember us smoking up a storm in the Pre primary playground next to the Youth Club!  Shame, I remember how much stress Billy and Steven gave you. have to daughters, 19 and 14.  Oldest studying in Pretoria youngest in same high school where I am.  I was such a "rebel without a cause" and yet my kids say I am more strict than any of there friends parents!  guess its cos 'been there, done that hey'!  My youngest is the one who gives me the grey hair.  she loves to party!!!!  every and any opportunity.  Please post some photo's of your kids,  I would love to see them. take care

Yvette

Susan Kintscher (Lineker)

Dont know what happend to Cindy & Co, rumour had it that Gavin commited suicide (drugs) but dont know how true it is.  Johnny Munn (father) worked for some newspaper in CT....... Smoked my lungs out as a kid but no more.  Both my boets have carmed a bit but not much. I get the same from my kids about being strict must have been the Catholic upbringing (ha, ha)  Here are my girls, Tamsyn at her matric dance (July) and Kea just being Kea..
