Wow, just returned from Mauritius ... paradise on earth ...! Blue skies, blue waters, lucious vegetation and a general feeling of peace and tranquility everywhere. I'm considering moving down there permanently and running a rhum business

Wow, beautiful Patricia.  Really looks peaceful there.  Did your ear survive the snorkeling?

Ummmmm ... to be honest, I didn't snorkel. Went out on the boat, put the mask, snorkel and fins on. Put one foot in the water and that was as far as I got. The water was just too cold for me. Yes, call me a sissy, but 24 degrees is cold when you're coming from a place where the sea is at 32 degrees. I did do a lot of kayaking and pedalo though. Also went on the water scooters that go down 3m. Awesome fun! The pressure was pretty bad on the ears, but at least they didn't get wet.

Which resort were you at Patricia?  My colleague has just returned from his honeymoon and also says that he would highly recommend, one visit the island :-)

We were at La Plantation on the north west coast. It was gorgeous. We would just lie in bed in the morning and stare out of the windows at blue waters and greenery (loads of coconuts hanging from the trees) and listen to the birds singing away. What a life!
