To hell with the begrudgers - better SPAR expand than competition move in.........unless of course I was the competition

.........my strategy would be to knock 10c off the price of everything - so I'd be at least 10c cheaper than SPAR prices!

All is fair in business my friend........and for my cheaper prices I'll have a quicker turn over of stock and therefor a higher profit margin..........Ooooh! and I'll open 30 minutes before you and close 30 minutes after you!

@ Rhona - Let's see how you handle your staff then - paid 10% less while working an hour a day longer than Mike's happy staff??? You'll have a riot on your hands, while over at the SPAR Mike and his staff are enjoying a nice

Oh no Bertie you have it wrong - because I will have a higher profit margin than Mike, I can afford to pay my staff N$2.00 an hour more than he does............infact his staff will probably be working for me by the end of the week as they'll get a percentage discount for doing their shopping with me AND as an added bonus - I'll teach my staff to play hurling
