Got one when I was in CT, R163.00.  Cannot wait to get it into the oven for Christmas eve.  Will have to follow all the pointers above and will let you know what the family thought.

Wow! Skinny was talking to me this morning, offered to "build" me a turducken, just had to supply her with the duck turkey chicken, reckons it takes up to three hours of creation........ I appreciated the offer, but humbly declined....... could'nt have the lady slaving away with poultry for three hours......

Thanks anyhow.....

thnx

The  turkey  has to be smoked ,,,  so all best efforts   would be wasted ...

Thanks Sandy, will do.  Mike V, if its as nice as it sounds, sorry but NO, there will not be leftovers.  Otherwise, I will save you a bite, will wrap it for Xmas!

Mike Voden (RIP)

Ah Nada, you are soooooooooo kind but it looks as if I'll have to make do with a cheese sandwich instead..............

Had the Turducken, did it in an oven bag for 75 minutes (1.6kg).  Hot or cold, it was VERY nice, especially with a mustard sauce.  Unfortunately no leftovers for Mike V!!  Will definately try this again.
Mike V, I will have to wait until SPAR opens up again to get bread and cheese for your sandwich.

Nada  i had the cooks  experience from hell .. after 3 years of buying the frozen turducken  and i mean the monsters ... not the  small ones .. this year  I bought 3 minis ... yesterday evening  for  christmas lunch contribution  at a friends  defrosted 2 ...  put them both in the roasting pan  and  continoued with my painting job came in  about 3/4/hour later ... strange smell emanating from oven ..  oened up .. the one was cooking rotten ...  the other one smelling  perfect ...   I immediately phoned checkers ..    they said bring the offending one through ...  hell  man travelling in the car with this  cooling down  rotten cooked thing was hell ...  had the  two price tags in my hand  .. they took one sniff  .. reimbursed me for the two as the other one was  spoiled by being  in contact ..  I  as compensation took 2 from their latest  stock ...  this morning did the whole routine again  and cooked only one  ... delicious as per usual .. now what caused this ... ???
1. poor cold chain management ... ie ...  some  dumb  shopper  picking up a  turducken from the freezer .. shopping for  the next  hour ...  supermarkets   should teach their staff .... anything thats  dumped by inconsiderate  shoppers   if it was frozen should be  dumped  and not put back in the freezer ...     I commend  checkers for compensating   me for both altough I only took in the one .. the other contaminated one is still lurking in my fridge .. i will put it out  for the vagrants tomorow .. they  have cast iron constutions and it will not hurt them ..in fact it   is Ok  but  I'm not taking chances ..

Sandy ...  I did see some kind of duck floating kind of funny in the lagoon near Blouberg the other day when I took a drive that way .....  low stock ---  "eeeh, we put in da freeza what we get in de begs" ....    Now that's what you call a rotten Christmas meal !!!    image061

Glad for you that you got your refund on that ....  the street scavangers will thank you for the pasella meal another day, as you are about to dish the contaminated one out for them.
Life becomes harder for us when we live for others, but it also becomes richer and happier. Friendship is a sheltering tree.

To be clever enough to get a great deal of money, one must be stupid enough to want it.

Those who bring sunshine to the lives of other cannot keep it from themselves.
