@Sandy, my sentiments the same. Also worke in Town Electrical beginning of appieship and had to work at the Abbatoir. Erwin Lissrer and myself spent many hours working there and replacing all the fluorescent fittings in the slaughter house. I was also put off meat for many years. Today I am very fussy of what meat I will eat and my wife does not understand it LOL

I spent some time in the abattoir first as a Appie elect then refrigeration didn't mind the meat but the smell of burning hair when the blow torched the pig trotters etc mmmmmmmmm not nice used to get quite nauseous

The biltong in the room outside mmmmmm had to keep a close eye on those fans get my drift, nudge - nudge wink - wink
